This is a 1950s duck hunting jacket. The faded camel brown duck fabric bears layers of sun exposure, wear, and absorbed oils, giving the cloth a tangible presence as a material. It features pre-war workwear-specific details like an asymmetrical pocket structure and a corduroy collar lining. The tears carved into the hem and sleeves are accidental forms, functioning as artwork beyond intention. Irregularly bulging pockets, curved old patterns, distorted stitching—these “misalignments” embody the unique beauty of vintage. Only one button remains.
